Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shikellamy last Tuesday, Danville came back down to earth. The Ironmen lost 16-9 to the Williamsport Millionaires on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ironmen of the 10-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Breece Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Abby Haught, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Danville dropped their record down to 5-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danville will take on Selinsgrove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williamsport, they will face off against Tunkhannock at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
