Basketball Recap: Clarkdale Comes Up Short

Clarkdale lost against Bay Springs last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clarkdale Bulldogs were beaten by the Bay Springs Bulldogs 60-26. Clarkdale's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Clarkdale still got an impressive performance from Lane Creel, who posted 11 points and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Creel a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Mcdill, who earned six points.

Clarkdale now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Bay Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lake the next time they take the court. Bay Springs will head out to face Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Clarkdale will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
