Baseball Recap: New Egypt Comes Up Short

If New Egypt was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Manchester Township on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell 9-5 to the Lacey Township Lions on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on April 3rd.

New Egypt's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Lacey Township, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, New Egypt will host Manchester Township at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Lacey Township, they will challenge Barnegat at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
