Baseball Recap: Dirigo Comes Up Short

The Dirigo Cougars came up short against the Cony Rams on Thursday, falling 22-1.

Dirigo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Waugh, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Waugh's first of the season.

Dirigo has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Cony, their record now sits at 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dirigo will take on Mount Abram at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cony, they will challenge Waterville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
