Basketball Game Preview: Clements Colts vs. Lexington Golden Bears

Clements hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Clements Colts just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lexington Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Thursday, 2025 welcomed Clements with a 75-49 loss courtesy of West Point. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Warriors are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Grace Christian Academy and fell 86-49.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Clements, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Clements couldn't quite finish off Lexington in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 57-55. Can Clements avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
