Volleyball Recap: Brookstone Cougars vs. Calvary Christian Knights

After losing to Calvary Christian the last time they met, Brookstone decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.
Brookstone had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 29-27, 25-15.
Carsyn Galligan paced Brookstone's offense, picking up 22 kills. Galligan got some help from Evangeline Gutierrez and her 36 assists.
Brookstone's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.
Looking ahead, Brookstone is taking a road trip to face off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Sherwood Christian Academy on the 5th.
