Volleyball Game Preview: Summers County Bobcats vs. Montcalm Generals + How To Watch

The Summers County Bobcats will face off against the Montcalm Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Summers County took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Midland Trail with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bobcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Summers County not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Midland Trail between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Montcalm narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Bluefield 3-2. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-102) Montcalm actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 15-25, 15-13.

Montcalm's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Summers County, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 5-17-4.
