Baseball Recap: Sonora Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sonora can now relate to. They fell just short of the South Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pacifica at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tritons' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
