Softball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

Stevens and Newport squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Stevens had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-0 loss back in April.

Stevens has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Newport, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

As of now, neither Stevens nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
