Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Machebeuf vs. Forge Christian

Bishop Machebeuf is 1-8 against Forge Christian since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Buffaloes will venture away from home to challenge the Fury at 4:00 p.m.

Bishop Machebeuf fell victim to Flatirons Academy and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Bison, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Forge Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Flatirons Academy with a sharp 6-1 win on Friday. Forge Christian's winning goal came courtesy of Sarah Banks.

Forge Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Bishop Machebeuf, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Bishop Machebeuf couldn't quite get it done against Forge Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
