It was a good run, but Jonesboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Aquilla Cougars. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 47-32.

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Aquilla, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Evant the next time they take the court. Jonesboro will host Evant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Aquilla will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
