Meanwhile, Merino entered their matchup against Sedgwick County on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Merino took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sedgwick County. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Akron pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Merino, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
