Brookfield entered their tilt with Pomperaug on Friday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Panthers. Give the Bobcats' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Sydney Miller and Lila Conrad made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Miller struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Conrad didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Miller went 1-for-3 with two runs, while Conrad went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Samantha Aurrichio was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Brookfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.

Brookfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Pomperaug, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Brookfield will face off against Norwich Free Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pomperaug, they will challenge Stratford at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
