Softball Recap: Cortez Comes Up Short

Cortez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-3 to the Goldwater Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Colts have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Cortez saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Averi Reason, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.

Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Goldwater, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Cortez has already played their next game, a 10-9 defeat against Combs on the 10th. After both having extra time off, Goldwater and Greenway will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 3:45 p.m. on March 25th.
