Basketball Recap: Forest Wildcats vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders
After a string of eight wins, Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 94-53 defeat at the hands of the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ja'Niyah McCoy, who went 8 of 10 en route to 20 points. McCoy has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jiyah Hamilton, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points and five assists.
Forest's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Mary at 4:30 p.m. on January 11th. Forest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season. St. Thomas Aquinas will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Coral Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th.
