Basketball Recap: Mountain House Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

If Patterson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mountain House, they should've done a better job of containing Shamar Jones. The Mountain House Mustangs claimed a resounding 87-47 win over the Patterson Tigers thanks in part to Jones, who posted 35 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Payton, who put up two points and six steals. Mountain House is 4-1 when Payton posts three or more steals, but 5-7 otherwise.

Mountain House has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Patterson, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Mountain House didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-60 defeat against Central Catholic on the 10th. As for Patterson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-45 loss against East Union on the 10th.
