Volleyball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granite Hills Grizzlies. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Firebaugh sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 14-25, 15-9.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Granite Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Firebaugh has already played their next game (against Lindsay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Granite Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 22nd.
