Softball Recap: Amador Valley Triumphs

Amador Valley won the last time they faced Heritage and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Amador Valley Dons walked away with a 5-1 win over the Heritage Patriots.

Kaylee Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Amador Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mai Falcone, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory got Amador Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Heritage, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

When Amador Valley and Heritage next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Amador Valley will challenge Benicia and their three-game winning streak at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Amador Valley is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Similarly, Heritage will try to stop Mountain House's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
