Volleyball Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Grimsley Whirlies didn't have quite enough to beat the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Whirlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Red Wolves 25-14 in the first set.

Grimsley actually scored more points across those five sets (111-109), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 22-20.

Cedar Ridge found their leader in freshman Nora Stoll, who had 22 digs and two assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Grimsley and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Cedar Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Grimsley will square off against Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Ridge, they will challenge Southern Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
