Soccer Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Greenville Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Greenville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in April.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Greenville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta will welcome Newaygo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville, they will challenge Northview at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
