South Lyon was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Zeeland East on Saturday. The Lions blew past the Chix 7-1. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

South Lyon is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Zeeland East, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-5.

South Lyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chix: the pair will be back at it again later today.
