Softball Recap: Tenino Beavers vs. Hoquiam Grizzlies
Tenino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Hoquiam Grizzlies, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 on Monday.
Tenino saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaeleen Woodward, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Tenino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Hoquiam, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tenino will face off against King's Way Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Beavers are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hoquiam, they will take on Forks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
