Basketball Recap: The Carmel School Finds Playoff Glory Versus Grace Christian School

With a playoff win on the line, The Carmel School rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Grace Christian School Kings with points to spare, taking the game 89-75. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The Carmel School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Watson, who went 8-for-14 en route to 27 points along with five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Watson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Edoardo Marra, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

The Carmel School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

The Carmel School pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points over those games. As for Grace Christian School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

As of now, neither The Carmel School nor Grace Christian School have any future games scheduled.
