Miramonte lost to Berean Christian last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Matadors came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 14-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Matadors.
Sammy Hardy was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie McKim, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Miramonte's record now sits at 16-6. As for Berean Christian, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1-1 and their overall record down to 12-6-1.
Coming up, Miramonte will take on Concord at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Berean Christian, they will face off against Las Lomas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
