Basketball Recap: Ninety Six Piles Up the Points Against Ware Shoals

Ninety Six can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They blew past the Ware Shoals Hornets, posting a 53-23 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyrell Cunningham, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Jayce Medlin, who had six points and six rebounds.

Ninety Six's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Ware Shoals, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ninety Six Wildcats face off against the Crescent Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ware Shoals, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-30 defeat against Saluda on the 30th.
