Football Recap: Southern Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Southern kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Toronto Red Knights. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Leading Toronto to victory were Drake Bouscher and Michael Henry. Bouscher gained 80 total yards and two touchdowns, while Henry threw for 116 yards and one TD on only nine passes. Brady Fair also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Southern has already played their next match, a 36-22 loss against Shadyside on the 29th. As for Toronto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 34-6 victory against Lowellville on the 29th.
