Recap: Marion-Franklin Red Devils vs. Eastmoor Academy Warriors
The Marion-Franklin Red Devils pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Eastmoor Academy. Marion-Franklin lost against Eastmoor Academy in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 81-44 score last time.
Eastmoor Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was King Moody, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moody has scored all season. Another player making a difference was James Nowell, who scored 14 points.
Marion-Franklin now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Eastmoor Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Marion-Franklin will challenge Briggs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastmoor Academy, they will be playing at home against Africentric Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
