Softball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Holy Family Catholic Fire, falling 11-1.

Washburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynn Austin, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Holy Family Catholic, they moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Washburn will take on Highland Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Family Catholic, they will challenge Hutchinson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
