Baseball Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cosby last Tuesday, Eagleton College & Career Academy came back down to earth. The Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals came up short against the East Robertson Indians on Saturday, falling 16-7. The loss was the Royals' first of the season.

Eagleton College & Career Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Cope, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eagleton College & Career Academy fell to 2-1-1. As for East Robertson, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagleton College & Career Academy will face off against Tellico Plains at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Robertson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against William Blount at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
