Basketball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost to the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders at home by a 63-49 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Illineks of the 50-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Arthur-Okaw Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyson Pflum out in front who went 7 of 10 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Brock Helmuth was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

Urbana University's record now sits at 1-20. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Urbana University will challenge Greenview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they will face off against La Salette Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Arthur-Okaw Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.
