Volleyball Recap: Coral Gables' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coral Gables entered their tilt with Miami on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Stingarees by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Coral Gables won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23.

Natasha Macau paced Coral Gables' offense, picking up nine kills. Macau got some help from Corina McDanal and her 22 assists. Valentina Amador controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Coral Gables' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.

Coral Gables has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Mater Lakes Academy on the 24th. As for Miami, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against International Studies on the 25th.
