Football Game Preview: Savage Warriors vs. Lambert/Richey R&L Fusion

The Savage Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Lambert/Richey R&L Fusion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Savage has given up an average of 46 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Savage managed to slip by Garfield County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors were dealt a 72-0 loss at the hands of the Mustangs on Saturday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Lambert/Richey put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-26 victory over Bainville. The R&L Fusion might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Lambert/Richey's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Savage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Savage against Lambert/Richey when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
