Soccer Recap: Satellite Falls Short of Merritt Island in the Playoffs

Satellite and Merritt Island squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Satellite had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Merritt Island Mustangs by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Scorpions couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Satellite's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Merritt Island, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5-3.

Satellite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Merritt Island, they will take on Bishop Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bishop Moore's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four matches.
