Soccer Game Preview: Hutto vs. Vista Ridge

The Hutto Hippos will venture away from home to challenge the Vista Ridge Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hutto's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Hutto and Vandegrift finished up their game with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vista Ridge). Everything went their way against Manor on Friday as Vista Ridge made off with a 9-3 victory. Considering the Rangers have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Manor with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from J Mossholder (6), Arthur Santos, Ali Dadashazar, and Carson Miller.

Vista Ridge's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five matches. With that draw, Hutto's record moves to 4-8-5.

Hutto might still be hurting after the 6-2 loss they got from Vista Ridge when the teams last played back in February. Can Hutto avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
