Volleyball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Takes a Loss

Immaculata-La Salle lost against Mater Lakes Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Royal Lions lost 3-0 to the Bears. The Royal Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Immaculata-La Salle took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-20.

Daniel Auza paced Immaculata-La Salle's offense, picking up 11 kills. Auza got some help from Lucas Barragan and his 24 assists. Finally, Lucas Rosales kept Immaculata-La Salle's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Immaculata-La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Immaculata-La Salle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Downtown Doral on the 10th. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Somerset Academy South Homestead on the 10th.
