Bishop McNamara entered their tilt with Bishop Ireton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cardinals 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

While Bishop McNamara won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-23.

Sierra Thomas paced Bishop McNamara's offense, picking up seven kills. Thomas got some help from Keisha Adkins and her 13 assists.

Bishop McNamara's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Bishop Ireton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

The future could be bright for both Bishop McNamara and Bishop Ireton: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Mustangs will try to hand Archbishop Carroll their tenth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Ireton will look to extend Elizabeth Seton's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
