Softball Game Preview: Picayune Maroon Tide vs. Pearl River Central Blue Devils

Picayune heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Saturday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pearl River Central. The defeat continues a trend for the Maroon Tide in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

The victory (which was Pearl River Central's 11th in a row) raised their record to 22-8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Picayune, their loss dropped their record down to 11-18.
