Basketball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Wells Leopards were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-28 to the Pershing County Mustangs.

Leading Pershing County to victory were Riley Harvey and Aaliyah Allen. Harvey went 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points and five boards, while Allen posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Pershing County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Wells wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-20 defeat against McDermitt on the 1st. As for Pershing County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-29 win against North Tahoe on the 31st.
