Volleyball Game Preview: Peoria Panthers vs. Agua Fria Owls

Peoria hasn't had much luck against Agua Fria recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Owls at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Peoria is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Crismon, falling 3-0.

Peoria took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-18.

Peoria's loss came about despite a quality game from Jakarai Robinson, who had 17 digs and two aces. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last ten games he's played. Isaiah Emerich also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Agua Fria entered their game against ALA - West Foothills on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Owls took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guardians. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Agua Fria, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
