Volleyball Recap: Weed Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Weed lost against Modoc back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Braves. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Weed started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Weed still got an impressive performance from Audrey Mayberry, who had 13 assists and eight digs. Mayberry has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played. Alyvia Evans also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Weed's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Modoc, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Weed will take on rival Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Modoc is set to square off against their familiar foe Etna at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
