Softball Preview: Baldwin Highlanders vs. Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils        
        
		
            
 Baldwin and Mt. Lebanon are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Baldwin Highlanders will head out on the road to  take on  the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The last seven games Baldwin has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
 On Wednesday, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Baldwin had to settle for  a  6-5 loss against North Allegheny. Baldwin has not had much luck with North Allegheny recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
  Reese Temme was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Avery Herrington, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Mt. Lebanon fell victim to Butler and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They took  a  5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Tornado. Mt. Lebanon just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
 Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mt. Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Baldwin skirted past Mt. Lebanon  4-2 in their previous matchup  last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
