Basketball Game Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers

The Bell Bulldogs and the Riverside Christian Wranglers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bell is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Trenton on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bell was beaten by Trenton 57-18. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-6.

The losing side was boosted by Maddie Smith, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Smith is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Even though they lost, Bell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Riverside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Aucilla Christian.

Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Bell took their win against Riverside Christian when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 47-21. Will Bell repeat their success, or does Riverside Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
