Volleyball Recap: Millbury Woolies vs. Wachusett Regional Mountaineers
Millbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers. The Woolies were not able to make up for their loss to the Mountaineers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-13.
Brielle Brothers paced Millbury's offense, picking up eight kills. Brothers got some help from Giuliana Gerolomo and her nine assists. Nahya Bichotte and Kaden Ellis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Wachusett Regional's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Coppolino led the charge by getting 13 assists and six digs. Coppolino is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Catalfamo, who had 12 digs and three aces.
