Basketball Recap: Southwest Wildcats vs. Higbee Tigers

Southwest kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 76-44 defeat at the hands of the Higbee Tigers. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the loss, Southwest had strong showings from Grant Warren, who went 10 for 24 en route to 25 points, and Peyton Moss, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points plus four steals. The dominant performance also gave Warren a new career-high in threes (four).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hardin-Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 10th.
