Vermillion gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the West Central Trojans with a sharp 6-1 victory. The win continues a trend for Vermillion in their matchups with West Central: they've now won six in a row.

West Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Vermillion is set to face off against their familiar foe James Valley Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, West Central will square off against rival Freeman Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be West Central's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
