Baseball Game Preview: Lakewood Park Christian Panthers vs. Fort Wayne Wayne Generals

The Lakewood Park Christian Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Fort Wayne Wayne Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Lakewood Park Christian and eight for Fort Wayne Wayne.

On Tuesday, Lakewood Park Christian came up short against Fort Wayne Crusaders and fell 6-2.

Lakewood Park Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Stoll, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Stoll has hit this season. Carson Lyons was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Fort Wayne Snider hit Fort Wayne Wayne with a seven-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Generals came up short against the Panthers, falling 14-1.

Lakewood Park Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Lakewood Park Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Fort Wayne Wayne when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
