Basketball Recap: Canisteo-Greenwood Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Canisteo-Greenwood entered their match against Wellsville on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsville Lions. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 65-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Canisteo-Greenwood's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Wellsville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Canisteo-Greenwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Campbell-Savona at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wellsville, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wellsville Lions challenge the Pioneer Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
