Volleyball Recap: New Braunfels Thunder Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

New Braunfels Thunder waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the NYOS Charter Jaguars. The Homeschool have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Junie Flores paced New Braunfels Thunder's offense, picking up seven kills. Flores got some help from Maddison Heiser and her 11 assists. Emaleigh Force controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

New Braunfels Thunder's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for NYOS Charter, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

New Braunfels Thunder will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Michael's at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. NYOS Charter will be paying especially close attention to the Homeschool's match: after the Homeschool face off against NYOS Charter, they'll take on NYOS Charter again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
