Softball Recap: Lakeville Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Lakeville's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Houghton Gremlins an 11-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Lakeville's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Lakeville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Cass City on the 22nd. As for Houghton, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kingsford at 3:00 p.m. on April 17.
