Volleyball Recap: Howell Comes Up Short at Home Against St. Francis Borgia

Howell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the St. Francis Borgia Knights on Thursday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-20.

Kylie Poinsett paced Howell's offense, picking up six kills. Poinsett got some help from Grace Thompson and her ten assists. Emma Perrington controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Howell will host Marquette at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Francis Borgia, they will head out to face off against St. Clair at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
